Standard for Integrated Development of Territories
is a methodological guideline for the development of built-up and new areas. Recommendations for formation of the city image and preservation of its historical development with economically beneficial use in modern life.
The document will become a tool for improving the quality of the environment and the transition of Kazakhstani cities to modern development models. The document will help urban planners to improve the quality and efficiency of the processes of improvement, rehabilitation and Development of the Territories and will form the basis for improving the legal framework in the field of urban regulation and architectural design.
The purpose of the document is to develop and implement new approaches to creating an urban environment that meets modern social and economic conditions, the interests of residents, businesses and city authorities.
The standard consists of 6 books and 4 catalogs, which form a comprehensive database of tools for formation and transformation of residential and mixed-use development areas.
- defines key directions and measures for formation of quality residential and multifunctional development in the cities of Kazakhstan. The book contains the main priorities and principles of the Standard, as well as target models of urban environment.
- defines directions for development of the territories of established residential and multifunctional development.
- contains recommendations for formation of new residential and multifunctional development on vacant urban areas.
- contains recommendations for improvement of urban open spaces in accordance with the typology established by the Standard.
- defines the procedure for preparing documentation on the Development of the Territories.
- contains structural and functional components of urban open spaces that determine their type and character of use.
- contains types of residential buildings, description of constituent elements of an apartment building and apartment premises. For each element and premises are given solutions that will make houses and apartments the most comfortable to live in.
- contains recommendations for the improvement of open urban spaces: from the proposed list of typical solutions it is proposed to choose those that best correspond to the functional purpose of the space and are best suited for use in specific situations.
- contains variants of mutual location in the quarter of different types of residential buildings and non-residential buildings of different functional purpose, trade and service enterprises, kindergartens and schools, parking lots and greenery.
